Saint Therese of Liseux and the Holiness of the Ordinary (Webinar)

$15.00

In 1897, in a small town in the north of France, there ended the life of a young woman known to almost nobody. Her existence had not been marked by any visible greatness or any exceptional act. Within a few decades of her death, a pope would describe her as “the greatest of modern saints” and her exceptional holiness would be broadcasted all around the globe. Her story is the story of a buried life, a life lived in devotion to self-sacrifice and the charity of Christ in the ordinary round of common things, at a time when much of St. Therese’s own country and the world at large had grown comfortable in the materialism of modern life and forgetfulness of God.
Join Thomas Banks and guest lecturer Michael Williams to hear about France of the Belle Epoque and one of the most inspiring of quiet lives.
