Bunyan’s Progress: The Life and Genius of an English Puritan (Webinar)
Price range: $18.00 through $50.00
In 1678 there appeared a book that told the remarkable story of an unremarkable man’s journey to Paradise and the dangers he encountered along the way. Its author was a little-known Non-conformist evangelist who had more than once been jailed for unlicensed preaching. He was a veteran of the English Civil War and had grown up poor, with very little reading or formal education to speak of. His name was John Bunyan, and his Pilgrim’s Progress has in the centuries since his death become one of the most widely read and frequently reprinted books ever written in English.
Join Thomas Banks to learn more about Bunyan the man and the writer, his major writings and how he became the unlikely author of a popular classic.
With regret, Mr. Banks will need to move the webinar “Bunyan’s Progress” from September 30th to Friday, October 2nd at 7:00 PM ET due to a stomach bug. Mr. Banks sends his apologies and is looking forward to seeing everyone on Friday night.
