Update Regarding Your NEW My Courses Dashboard

Many of you know about the recent hacking of the Canvas LMS which has resulted in Canvas shutting down the Canvas LMS that we use to host our classes and mini-classes. All of your HHL purchases are safe! We have a new My Courses Dashboard which we think you are going to love!

We have already successfully moved over quite a few courses to our new My Courses Dashboard on the HHL website. We had already intended to move our previously recorded mini-classes and webinars to this platform over the summer. The Canvas issue simply moved up our timeline. All of your purchases are safe, and we think you will find the new dashboard much more user friendly and easy to navigate. We love it, and the feedback has been very positive.

Below I have outlined where we are in the process. This is a very time-consuming process as you can imagine. Check back daily and even hourly as we continue to add new courses and new files to your dashboard. It will take some time to get everything moved over. There is no need to contact us. The whole team is working hard to get everything moved over as quickly as possible.

Thank you so much for your patience.

Mini-Classes:

Many of the previously recorded mini-classes have been added to the My Courses Dashboard already. Check back daily—even hourly— to find your classes. Even after you can see the course in your dashboard, you may still be missing files. There is no need to contact us. We know about this and are adding them daily.

Webinars:

Older Webinars can be accessed the way they always have been. On your HHL Dashboard, click on Orders, then click the order you desire, and then click the link to view the video.

Newer Webinars can be found on your My Courses Dashboard. We will be moving all webinars to the new system.

Conferences:

The 2026 Literary Life Conference can be found in your My Courses dashboard now. The older conferences and individual conferences talks are being added to the dashboard. In the meantime, you can access older conferences by logging in to your HHL Dashboard and clicking Orders, then clicking the order to view the playlist. Files and booklists will be added to the new My Courses dashboard.

2025-2026 Year-Long Classes:

The video playlists for current year-long students have been moved to their My Courses dashboards. This is a temporary solution but will allow students to complete their courses.

PREVIOUS YEAR-LONG CLASSES will not be added to the new dashboard system, but we can provide links to the class playlist. Please let us focus on moving over all the classes before you contact us to request a playlist (include the name and the year of the class).

EXCEPTION: Special previous year-long classes like Dr. Baxter's Dante class will be added to your My Courses Dashboard along will the appropriate files.

The Future:

Current and future HHL classes and mini-classes will now be hosted on Google Classroom--the full instructions for joining Google Classroom can be found on your HHL My Courses Dashboard. Click on the class and you will find the full instructions along with the class booklist and academic calendar and Orientation Video.

We are very excited about the features offered by Google Classroom and think it is a great improvement over Canvas. We think you will love it!

Again, thank you for your patience as we resolve this issue.  I think you are going to love the new My Courses dashboard for accessing your previously recorded mini-classes, webinars and conferences as well as finding important login information and booklists for current live classes.
